Closing a bezier curve

PostThu Nov 19, 2020 12:49 pm

Hi
I usually draw Power Curves with the pen tools by doing a click-hold-drag to keep the handles smooth and in 16 I could click-hold-drag when closing the the shape. This is no longer working in 17.0B build 9. (I'm testing on a MacBookPro with Iris graphics)

I'm on a PC on build 18 now and just came across this problem again.

I just tested this on beta 7 (build 23) and Click+drag when closing a curve still doesn't work to allow a smooth point.

Great work on the other features though! Alpha export on single clip deliver, Preserve node numbering option. Awesome work BMD! Oh, and the ripple trim in Retime is fixed too, it seems.

You probably already know this but after closing the Bezier curve, you can hold down your CTRL key, click and drag on that last point to transform it into a smooth point.

I agree that you should be able to create the smooth point on closing, though.
