I was able to successfully install 17b2. However, during installation the following messages appeared.

I'm having the same problem no matter what free version of Davinci resolve 17 I try and install. The software is broken. They need to fix it. I have been 2 months without a editing programme. I di not want to use Adobe but may have no choice but to purchase it and learn it. They are subscription based

If you are having problems with the Visual C++ 2015-2019 x64 Redistributable file you can download and install it from Microsoft.
If the software was broken no one would be able to use it. Never discount a hardware problem. If you have tried to install all the versions of 17 with the same result, then the problem lies with your hardware, conflicting software on it, or it doesn't meet the minimum spec requirements.
I have used all free versions of Resolve, including the betas, from 14 to 17.2 on the same computer with no installation problems.
As Ricardo has said, let's have details of your system.
Resolve Studio 19.0b1 build 20
Dell XPS 8700 i7-4790, 24GB RAM, 2 x Evo 860 SSDs, GTX1060/6GB (551.86 Studio Driver), Win10 Home (22H2), Speed Editor, Faderport mk1, Eizo ColorEdge CS230 + BenQ GW2270 + Samsung SA200, Canon C100mk2, Zoom H2n.
