DR 16.2.7 on Windows 7 install fail with CFGMGR32.dll error

PostFri Nov 20, 2020 5:31 pm

Attempted to install latest Beta 16.2.7 on Windows 7.

Install seemed to complete OK but when trying to run DR I get:

The procedure entry point CM_Register_Notification could not be located in the dynamic link library "CFGMGR32.dll"

CFGMGR32.dll is on my Win 7 system in several directories.

Ran windows 7 System File Checker (sfc) and no problems detected.

You can fix it by some small patch, search for "How to install and run DaVinci Resolve 17 on Windows 7 (fix CM_Register_Notification error)" on Yourube and follow this tutorial to patch DR 16.2.7, it works same way.
