Laptop required for offline grading

Hello,

I have a desktop that does the heavy lifting for video processing, but I spend a lot of time on the road. Does Resolve offer some form of "offline" editing/grading (as I believe it's called in Premiere), whereby you can create low-resolution copies of your video files to take with you on a lower-powered laptop to edit/grade on the road? Then preferably, send the project back to my desktop workstation and have that system do the rendering? I think I remember reading something about sending a project to a remote system for rendering in the Studio version?

If something like this is possible, how powerful of a laptop would be needed? Suggested specs would be helpful.

Resolve 17 is offering a very good proxy workflow.

That said, depending on your source footage, you may not even need that if you get the new MacBook M1. I'm surprised myself writing this, but the price/performance ratio and use of battery power are the best you can get right now for working on the road.
Who would have guessed that coming from Apple?

Ok that is very good to know. Thank-you. Only issue is, I'm not a Mac person. I've always had PC. Any specs you'd recommend for looking for a PC equivalent machine? I'm looking forward to checking out the proxy workflow in Resolve 17.
