I'm trying to use davinci but every time I install it it doesn't work and says looking for control surface and crashes, Can someone please help me

I switched from Divinchi resolve 16 to 17. Once I downloaded and installed the 17 every time I try to open it it crashes. It's irrating. I tried switching the compatiblity mode to windows 8, but all it does is sometimes opening the Project mangagers. I restared my computer, downloaded 17 again, and I even tried going back going back to 16. I had really important projects. I dont think its because my database has not been updated because when Installed 17 i pressed update database. Please help

Most likely, Davinci Resolve has a compatibility problem with either one of your USB devices or one of your PCIExpress slot card devices.

To diagnose the problem, remove all your PCIe devices except for your graphics card, and also remove all our USB devices except for directly connecting your USB mouse and keyboard. You will likely find that Davinci Resolve loads correctly. to track down the compatibility problem, one by one, try adding in a single PCIe device or USB device until the problem reappears. My problem turned out to be the high end PCIE audio/sound synth and interface system I'm using. Others tracked the problem to video capture hardware devices.
