Ordered the license (card) for DR 17 that comes with the Speed Editor from B&H - and both have been showing as backordered for weeks now. I can understand that the keyboard may take some time to get into stock, but I'd at least like to be able to get my license number so I can start using the full Studio version. Any idea when these are going to ship out to the distributors?

I ordered from Jigsaw in the UK a few weeks back. I recently asked if it were possible to get the licence in advance but they emailed me yesterday to say that that wouldn't be possible (though they had started to receive limited supplies of the Speed Editor from Black Magic). I have read on this Forum that some resellers have sent out activation codes in advance of the hardware.

According to Jigsaw I was one of the first to order and pay - and I have not received shipping notification yet.

But I've just asked.. where it might be hiding....

I also ordered from B&H, on November 12th, and I now feel fortunate to have received my activation card for Studio a week later. Still waiting for word on the Speed Editor though.

It depends on where you order. I tried to order the same day That grant announced it because he said that the speed editor was already available. I called BH and they didn't have any info on it. So I had to wait 2 days to order. The minute they put SE for sale it was already a number 1 seller, so who knows when Ill get it. They sent DVR 16 almost immediately. It seems that Europe got them SE first.

I ordered mine from Jigsaw on 12 Nov and it arrived this week.

Didn't include a USB-C cable although some unboxing vids show it included.

If anyone's looking I might sell mine. Fully sealed, not opened, received from Jigsaw the first week they were available.
I'm in central London.
I bought impulsively but I'm mainly a colourist, so much as I love linear editing, I just won't use it!

(unless they allow remapping for the colour page....!)

I heard that BM was in the middle of moving stock from UK to mainland in preperation for Brexit and that was causing some delays.

I ordered a SE and DR17 from B&H about a month ago and received no code for DR and the SE still shows as backorder status.

Anyone (else) gotten at least a DR17 license code from B&H?

I ordered the Editor with serial licens for 8 weeks ago in mid November. I already had a dongle.
I received it the Editor yesterday.

A friend of mine ordered the Editor but with dongle a month after me and he got it almost immediately as the AD had pre ordered more dongle bundles than serial bundles.

I received both the Speed Editor and Resolve license in early December, from B&H.

Yeah, when I inquired B&H yesterday about sending me the code ahead of the Speed Editor hardware, they immediately started acting like they no nothing about which I speak and giving me the runaround in general. Allen (the rep responding) says he doesn't even see where the software can be ordered without the SE. They offer it right on their website... But I DO want the SE.

Starting to think I'd be better off canceling with them and ordering from somewhere else but I'm also afraid that might put me to the back of an already very long line.

I ordered the serial number + speed editor 2 weeks ago from scan in the UK and still nothing. Anyone else know if any other companies have availability with all the shipping problems we are having in the UK at the moment with Brexit?

It's pretty annoying that n 2020 a licence key is not available to buy online. I don't give a damm about packaging. Just give me the keys to the car.

I ordered mine on Dec 20th, and still waiting. Every time I call B&H, they tell me to call Blackmagic. Then Blackmagic tells me to call B&H, which makes no sense. I can't believe we can't just get a code??? I don't even care about the speed editor, I mean, it'll be nice to have, I'm sure, but I just want the code. Can you give me my code please? As far as I know, there is literally no way to just get the code now, anywhere. Madness........ I'm trying to finish a film, and I need the studio version to get to some of the stuff I need for my final editing process. So ridiculous..... Epic fail by Blackmagic, for sure.

It's now the 23rd and they still show them as "In Stock", so I cancelled my B&H order and ordered one from Markertek.

Quick Update: 02/25 and I just received my bundle. 2-days for free "standard" shipping... not bad!
Oh, and there was a USB C-C cable in the box.

Uh oh... if people have been waiting since Nov 26, it's going to be ages until I get my Jan 26 order from BH...

Blast. I have a project that I'm wanting to use to learn it with.

If your order hasn't shipped from BH yet you should be able to cancel it without penalty. There seem to be a lot of other resellers that have the Speed Editor in stock.

I ordered Nov 17 from B&H- still nothing.
I'd like the license key at least.
This is frustrating. I'm reading reviews- they are advertising it - and I bought one- but still don't have it.
