Pro has some extra network capabilities and security enhancements Plus you have greater control of windows upgrades, but if you don't need that home version works very well.

At the time, Pro offered greater memory capacity (up to 128 GB) than Home did.

Pro, @$50 since I have access to Microsoft employee store - a price that I believe should be regular for a commercial OS used on a billon computers.

I didn’t want to discover restrictions or shortcomings down the track.

I use Pro because I'm mainly a developer (rather than a video editor) and I need Hyper-V virtualization, Remote Desktop, Windows Sandbox and BitLocker cryptography.
