Still can't fade solid colour generator in ACES or DWG

Hey I was hoping that in 17.3 this would be fixed. It's quite an issue for me. Would really appreciate if this can be addressed. I generally always uses ACES, and I use solid white colour generator quite often. I am still unable to fade this with a cross dissolve or any other method including opacity with key frames while in ACES colour space or Davinci Wide Gamut. It only works in the default colour space which is not what I want to use.

Please fix this issue BMD team. Love your products and will continue to support you guys. I need an affiliate link or something for your products because I have sold atleast 3 Pocket Cameras myself haha.

I use ACES and this has never been an issue on my system. I can't replicate your problem with any version of Resolve. Maybe post a link to a short video showing the issue.

This does not happen to me in 16.3. Also does not matter what kind of fade or cross dissolve I try. Even tried changing the composite mode, fading opacity with key frames. Nothing will make this fade in or out.

Ok, I see it now. There is something seriously wrong with the way the dissolve transition works. You'll see other strangeness if you dissolve between two colour generator clips.

its not just the dissolve transition. Try to do a keyframe with opacity. It doesn't work either. I also had a problem with JPEGS in ACES, I forget what it was though.

I was trying to fade some text in and out and that wasn’t working either. Gave some weird white noise around the text during the fade but no real fade.

Hopefully this gets fixed soon but in the meantime you can keyframe gain and that will work.

You can also right click on the clip and select 'Bypass Color Management'.

media tab, not edit tab. right click the clip. but I think youd have to create a compound clip first

No, it's not in the media page, it's in the Edit page and Color page, and you right click on the clip itself (Edit) or the thumbnail (Color). You don't need to make a compound clip first for generators. Obviously you need to either be in RCM or ACES in project settings.
