I'm trying to setup collaboration with a friend over the internet. We both have the free version of Resolve 17 public beta installed and I created a PostgreSQL database. When he tries to connect to the database he gets an error message: failed to connect to database please check log file for more details. How would one go about solving this problem?

The free version doesnt support collaboration as yet but it will soon.
Also, its not practical for internet based live operation as the internet latency is too long.
look at the new v17 drt exchange as demoed on the v17 launch video.

We've being using PostgresSQL Database and Collaboration mode over the internet since long time ago and it brought some new possibilities, specially in this time that we live now. Of course, you need to understand deeply your workflow and know it's limitations

Can't wait to see the free version Collaborating ;)

@LucasMaiam. Thats cool that you have some experience with this. Could you offer some insight into what those limitations are, how you work around them, and what equipment you have fount works the best for this?

Also looking into the new sharing techniques with 17 and they look great.

Thanks.
