
We are pleased to announce the release of DaVinci Resolve Studio 17.1 Public Beta 4, the universal app supporting M1 powered Macs. The DaVinci Resolve 17.1 releases are compatible with macOS Big Sur on both platforms, and is initially only available for Mac with Apple M1.
Both releases are no charge updates for existing customers who can download this release from our support page. They are available for download from:

Important information regarding database management
DaVinci Resolve 17.0 and 17.1 require a database upgrade from DaVinci Resolve 16.2.7 and previous versions. We strongly recommend that you back up your existing database (both DiskDB and PostgreSQL) and then restore that database for the upgrade before upgrading to this release.

Support for DaVinci Resolve and Fusion license dongles on Mac M1 systems.
Support for source and record timecode tags for custom data burn in text.
Addressed an issue with displaying PNG files on Mac M1 systems.
Addressed an issue with trimming multiple clips in the same track.
Addressed an issue with jagged borders on titles with drop shadows.
Addressed an issue with incorrect Fusion transition behavior on clips with mismatched PAR.
Addressed an issue with adding keyframes to Fusion transitions in the Edit inspector.
Addressed an issue where Fusion templates would sometimes not be visible on the Edit page.
Support for showing template locations from the context menu for Fusion effects.
