Resolve does not Quit

PC. Windows 10 Pro. Auto save is on, when using the Quit option the PC hangs and I have to crash out when the "Not responding" splash screen appears. The programme will re-start normally and all work will have been saved correctly?

I haven't seen this yet myself.

Also problem was with previous releases of Resolve 17 although Beta 01 did occasionally close normally.

I'm not seeing this, either (same driver, slightly different GPU).

Add - I'm actually using 'Live save', not auto-save. To the OP - is that what you mean by 'auto-save'?

Beta 6 - quit working correctly

This is an intermittent problem when DR crashes that goes back until DR15 and persists until today. I leave Task Manager open for the purpose of quickly viewing if DR is completely shut down or not before restarting. A couple of crashes a day is pretty usual and expected for me.

I have the same issue. Unable to quit on a MacBook Pro. Was OK until the update last week.
