Sony A7 SIII - XAVC S-I - Only got audio in DR 17

Hey Guys

i'm using Davinci 17 in the free version and i try to import those format :
XAVC - 4K 25FPS - 4 2 2 10 Bit
XAVC - 4K 25FPS - 4 2 2 10bit

but it doesn't work in this version, i only got the audio and not the video.

Other format works like the XAVC HS with 4 2 0 10bit or XAVC S but with 8bit codec.

So, to make it easy, is it only because i don't have the studio version ?

I would expect that to work in the Studio version. I can test if you care to share a clip.

Yes, it's because you are using the free version, on Windows. It will work in the Studio version.

OK, I would expect it to work on the Mac, with the caveats that Mathieu has brought up:

So I guess if we could get a link to a sample file that's not working, that would be good.

I just upgraded from 16 free to 17 studio beta 06. in Windows 10 home. 8bit HD files from sony
camcorder worked in 16 free..... just audio in 17 studio beta. Using Dongle. Any thoughts

Just because you have a dongle, doesn't mean that you have the Studio version of Resolve installed. It's a separate version. Using a dongle with the free version does not make it Studio.

When you launch Resolve, does it say Studio on the splash screen? If not, you've got the free version installed. Download and install the Studio version.

Upgrading driver in video card solved problem. computer is a few months old but turns out
drivers were over 2 years old
