Audio bleed between clips

On occasion, after adding audio crossfade between clips I get a fraction of the audio from the first clip sound when the second clip is playing. This runs for the entirety of the first clip. This is with 17b4 on an iMac (Intel based). Any ideas how to fix this as at the moment I have to remove both clips and then re-add them and reapply the crossfade and hope for the best.

Edit or Fairlight page?
Audio Transition effect or via Clip fade handles?

Haven't seen that yet in the Windows version.

This is in the edit page, all seems OK until I add a crossfade and cross dissolve after which there is a (maybe) 0.5 second loop from the end of the first clip overlaid onto the second clip throughout its duration.
It comes through on the rendered version as well.
