Clip speed on on relinked track not affecting audio

PostFri Dec 11, 2020 5:52 pm

I dragged a clip with video+audio onto the timeline. Then I dragged a 2nd audio clip below the first. After aligning the audio, I deleted the first audio clip, and linked the video clip with the 2nd audio clip. Now I selected the clip (both video and audio are highlighted) and chose "Change clip speed..." / 113.5% with pitch correction. The result was that the Video clip shows the retime marker indicating its speed is updated, but the audio clip shows no change at all (the waveform looks unchanged and there is no speed marker).

I expected the audio to be retimed when its linked video was retimed.

Linking them in that way only means the two separate clips get selected together. They aren't really acting as one clip.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I'm having the same issue. For them to not "act as one clip" seems rather silly. Of course we want the audio to go along with the video speed change, that's why they're linked in the first place!
