Missing Features From Earlier Versions of Resolve

PostMon Dec 14, 2020 12:54 pm

Hi,

I downloaded Resolve 17 Beta and am enjoying playing around with it. It has some great new features.

However, a couple of features seem to be missing which were there on earlier versions (I was using 15 up until this point):

> Can’t seem to open more than one project at once and toggle back and forth between them. I used to be able to select the name of any open project from a dropdown at the top to switch back and forth between two open projects. I found this useful for copying and pasting stuff from one project to another

> Some of the Fusion 3D title templates are missing from the Edit tab. I particularly liked “3D Title Neon Outline”. If I open one of my old projects that used this title, I can see it in the timeline (as a fusion composition) and it looks ok, but the template doesn’t seem to be under Titles in the toolbox

Anyone know if these things will be added to the final version?

Thanks,

Matt

Is Dynamic Project Switching enabled in the Project Manager?

Thanks for getting back to me. Turns out I didn’t have Dynamic Project Switching on, so that’s fixed my issue. I don’t recall turning this on in my previous version, but I must have done at some point. Thanks again.

I agree, I'm disappointed there are many 3D Fusion title templates missing, however on the high side if you saved the settings file it works great in 17, or if you have a timeline using one of them and save the settings file, then you'll be able to reuse it.
