Sharing projects between 2 computers

I am stuck trying to connect a second computer to my database. I have two personal computers, My main one where I record and edit and a second computer where I want to render the projects. When I try to add the folder on the second computer it gives me the error "Failed to connect to the database project" I have tried as a network path and as a share with the same error. I see no option to add a database itself only a folder.

Do you have two studio licenses and are using the PostGres database?

The PostGres database is available for the free version, but currently the Studio version is needed to remotely connect databases. That will change we v17 release.

You cant share disk databases.

there are details in the v16 manual for setting up the PostGres DB and collaboration.
download from the support web page or your v16 installer.

I'm using v17.1 public beta 6 and it's not allowing me to connect to a remote server. Is it still your intent to allow the free version to do this?
