Understanding Scopes and the scale with Resolve Live

I have read every thread and watched every video I can find on the topic with no concrete answers on the matter. Can someone shed some light on the issue with the scale on the scopes?

Let me explain... I am using Resolve Live, solely for the scopes. I am not editing or even grading the video with the tools in resolve. I am taking a feed out of a Ross carbonate ultra switcher (all the grading takes place in the switcher) into resolve via a deck link duo 2. All of the talk about when the footage conforms to the specified standard either on export or when setting preferences doesn’t apply. Or if I should use the full scale of the scope or the 64-940 values during editing isn’t relevant because I am not using it for that.

How do the values compare to the IRE scale? What is the scale of the scopes as it compares to rec709?

I would prefer to have the scopes in IRE values myself. It's what I'm used to.

Use the percent scopes and leave them as data then they will track 0-100 IRE in percent scale.

Don't check the video mode box, that feature is broken.

Good Luck
