Hi BMD Team,

I just install DR Studio 17b5 and have still problem with pre-coinformed EDL in interlaced project.

Project settings:

When use Pre-conformed EDL I got timeline cuts are in wrong places.

When try old scen cut detection with load EDL there is biger problem - for example my EDL has 11 cuts, cut detection show only 7 cuts.

Wrong frame rate?? I work with HD 25 fps interlaced 50i file.

Should be 11 cuts - give me 7:

For me it is a big problem because I have a lot of interlaced preconformed projects. I use method 2 because can import csv metadata.

This is link to my google drive. There is DRS17b5 project, EDL, MXF media file, preview file.

Hi Maciek,
see also my post.
Systems says "50 fields" but it in reality switches to 50P (have a look at the delivery page)

Hi everyone,

sadly I have the same problem. (with the final versions of 17.0 and 17.1 Studio for mac)

I try to import a 50i timeline from avid via EDL. It works perfectly with the latest Resolve 16, but in 17.0 and 17.1 the following problems occur:

- with Pre-conformed EDL the cuts are at the wrong places. The Timeline from the EDL is marked as 50fps but the imported video as 25fps (both should be 50i / the Clip Attributes of the video say 25 Frames with Upper Field first, the timeline seems to be imported from the EDL with 50p)
- with Scene Cut Detection the cuts are also on the wrong places. No way to change it.

As a workaround I found it works ether of the following:
- importing to a parallel installed Version 16 and exporting the project and importing to Version 17
- setting the project settings to 1080/25p without "Enable interlaced processing" and importing with Pre-Conformed EDL. It creates a progressive Timeline with all the right cuts and I can copy all clips of the timeline in a new timeline without "Use Project Settings" and manually set it up as 50fps with "Enable Interlaced Processing".

These workarounds aren't ideal but it works. But can you please look into it, Blackmagic Design Team?
It's an essential feature for many of us Europeans.

Thank you.
Regards,
Max
