I am new here, coming from FCP. I would love to ask few things if possible. The first one is - how to easily automatically synchronize selected video and audio clips (like in FCP) when they are separately recorded as video and audio and are not exactly of the same length. In FCP you just select them and make "syncronize clips" command and all done (new synchronized clip is created). Can it be done the same easily even here ?

The biggest mistake I made after switching from Premiere Pro was thinking that my previous experience meant I could just jump into a new NLE without difficulty.

Nope.

As a new user, your first course of action should be to complete some Resolve training. The Beginner's Guide and Advanced Editing are an excellent groundwork to get you moving smoothly.

yes, in v17
