I use it on MacBook Pro 16'' and even if I do nothing, there are some extremely intensive processes going on n DaVinci, resulting in high processor use and extremely loud fan. How to stop this ?

Activity monitor shows DaVinci 500% CPU, 234 threads etc. Some background rendering ?

Ok, I found what goes on: it keeps rendering (red/blue line) all the time in the background, even when there is nothing new in the session. How to stop it ??

Unless there's a bug, it's not just rendering again and again the same thing to keep busy. Either it's not done (all the red is not yet blue) or you're changing something that requires a re-render. It's possible that you don't want this because you're making a lot of little tweaks, in which case you can turn off rendering while you do your tweaks. At some point it's going to need to be rendered in order to not have playback issues, though. (Or to render the final out.)

Depending on what version of Resolve you're using there are also ways to do things like Render in Place to do the rendering once (if it's, say, a Fusion clip or something). It's up to you to decide what can be rendered once and not change -- though you can reverse that at a future time if you need.
