Posted: Wed Dec 16, 2020 4:17 pmI can run Davinci resolve on windows just fine using the same computer. But when I try on Ubuntu (20.04) I get an error about the GPU every time I try startup the program. When I try change processing mode or select a diffrerent GPU in the settings there are none available.
I've tried installing OpenCL drivers but nothing seems to work.
Further to that, I have tried using beignet-opencl-icd
At the moment i have just one .icd file in my /etc/OpenCL/vendors directory:
intel-beignet-x86_64-linux-gnu.icd
With this set, I don't even get an error. resolve runs and takes up a huge amount of resources (CPU fan goes crazy) and nothing happens. No GUI, no error, nothing...
I've been trying different things for a few days now with no success. Any help would be very much appreciated thanks.
From looking at the logs, it seems to hang most often on GPUDetect:
