Speed editor in edit page feature suggestion

Would it be hard to have the camera select buttons be video track select buttons in the edit page?

I've been wishing for Up/Down/Left/Right buttons myself. Could we map the camera select buttons to have a dual function for navigating? My wish is based on needing to get around in the media pool, but thought it would also be useful for clip selection on the timelines too. Navigate all the way to the left and it jumps into track select?

It could be a massively useful tool.

Actually that's a great idea as well

I agree with both of you. Perhaps another key could function as a toggle between arrows and track select.

There is a separate forum for Feature Requests.

viewforum.php?f=33

Best practice is to search first, to see if someone already asked. If not, post one idea per thread with a very brief description of the idea in the thread's title.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

Yes, I've been planning to start a feature request thread for the Speed Editor. But have been waiting until they've shipped more units and folks (including me) have had time to use them in real world before we get into "what if" with folks who haven't had any hands on. (Or have the thread end up on page 42 because no one has one yet).

If anyone else sees, or starts such a thread, please link to it here so we can join in.
