[issue] Resolve 17 b4 & b5 Color page freezing
Posted: Wed Dec 16, 2020 9:19 pmI have encountered this freezing issue in b4 and b5 and wondered if anyone else is getting this.
Changing clips on the color page triggers a UI freeze for 5 to 10 seconds. Seems to be variable based on the size of the media file. This only occurs when clicking the clip in the thumbnail bar to switch to it, if you use the up/down keys it is fine to load next/last clip. This is not a highly feasible workaround for longer timelines as you can imagine.
The media I am working with is RED R3D files from a RedOne-MX & RedEpic.
Workstation Specs:
-Windows 10 (latest update)
-Intel Core i9-9900KF CPU @ 3.6Ghz
-64Gb RAM
-NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000
-512gb SSD (os and applications)
-2TB USB3 External SATA HDDs (media)
