Dongle not Recognized on Apple Silicon

PostThu Dec 17, 2020 4:08 am

Can't launch DaVinci Studio (15, 16 & 17b5) with a dongle using an Apple Silicon (M1) Mini on MacOS Big Sur (11.1). I presume this is a driver problem. Just thought I'd give folks a heads up.

MacMini 2020 Monterey (M1 16GB)

You will need the 17.1 version which is specifically designed for M1

Ah ha! I didn't realize there was a fork in the versioning! I'll try that out, thank you.

You've got the dongle working on M1 now, Peter?
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

I can confirm that both DaVinci Resolve Studio 17.1b5 and Fusion Studio 17.1b5 work with a dongle on the M1 Mini.
So far the software works as expected, but I am underwhelmed by the Apple Silicon GPU processing power.
