Import markers

Is there a way to import markers from another NLE? I have an audio clip that was already cut in a different NLE but that NLE doesn't have the option to export individual clips as Davinci does so I want to import that clip into Davinci and after cutting the audio clip, export the individual clips.

So in the other NLE I made markers at each cut and exported the marker list (so I can see where to cut in Davinci) but don't see an option in Davinci to import a marker list.

I don't believe this can be done.

Have you looked at AAF or XML?

What is the other NLE? Jim's suggestion of AAF and XML is good and most modern NLEs should be able to export those formats. Another, old-school choice is an EDL, which Resolve can also import.

If your other NLE can only export a marker list, maybe as a CVS or something, you could probably edit it by hand into an EDL since that format is so simplistic.

The other NLE is Edius, which exports AAF, XML, and EDL. EDL worked best for Davinci.

Great to hear. Old School is sometimes the best school.
