Once I applied a Fusion FX on a clip it always renders in Edit, even when I removed the FX in Fusion.

There is a red line above the clip and it takes just as long to render/cache/turn red, as if the Fusion FX was stil, there.
Also I only want to see blue lines when there are really Fusion FX on clips.

Is there a way to get rid of Fusion FX. Just overwriting is not a solultion (complicated retiming in Edit would have to be done all over again).

Right click>Reset Fusion Composition.

That said, Caching is...complex. Do read the manual on the subject to get a full understanding of the many options.
