Suddenly crashes all the time. What can I do?

PostThu Dec 17, 2020 11:49 pm

R16 studio
PC i7 GTX970
4K BRAW from BMPCC4K

Editing in HD timeline was not a problem, some crashes, but OK.

Now that I put some FX on I cant even open the projects anymore. Nothing happens.
When I finally get a project to open Resolve crashes very often.
What can I do to improve performance?

Does it help to use fusion composition or adjustment clips for fusion compositions?

Is the GPU driver too old? Its from 2019. Which driver is recommended?

Plus when it opens GPU memory is full very fast.
Can I switch from GPU caching to processor caching?

I would upgrade the GPU to an RTX model with at least 8GB of memory.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

No, drivers change all the time.

My practice is to use the current Studio driver. I use GeForce Experience to handle updates.
