Video Transitions Not Working in Beta 5

Tried both Mac versions of Studio beta 5 and video transitions not working properly. Transitions work somewhat when on 4K timeline, but not all of them. The cross dissolve video and audio dissolve have a red ! in the title. When using Red 6K clips (crossfade transitions especially) will not work between clips. If I cut one of the clips then the transition can be placed on that clip at the cut point, but can't be placed on the point between the clips. Maybe I'm doing something wrong?

I have Studio version of resolve. MacBook Pro 16", 2.3 GHZ 8 Core CPU, 32GB Ram, AMD Radeon Pro 5500M GPU, 4 TB SSD.

Yes, you are doing something wrong, but you are on the right track: you need to cut half the length of the dissolve from both sides.
What else could a dissolve use for a picture?

Duh ... Thanks Uli! While testing clips from my new Komodo I didn't mark in/outs on clips, just put complete short clips on timeline. You turned the light switch on.
