*****Answered - Thanks*****

Hi

If I buy the Studio license now and use it for DR16, can I use the same activation for DR17? How about DR18, etc?

Thanks

Mike

You can use it for 16 or 17. Nobody made any promises about future ones, but BM hasn't charged us for several generations until now.
My disaster protection: export a .drp file to a physically separated storage regularly.

I believe every update from Resolve 7 on (after Blackmagic bought them in October 2009) has been free "so far."

Me personally, I wouldn't mind if they charged a reasonable fee, like $29 or $49 or something like that. After all, BMD needs capital to continue paying for their R&D and their dev team.
