Copying fusion/timeline brings clips but media offline

I'm not sure if this has been covered in a post about "media offline" yet:

I have a 3d model in a fusion clip set up in one project. I copied the bin that had the timeline and source clips to a new project. I can click on the media pool clips and see the source content fine. I click into the single fusion object on the timeline, as it is reporting "media offline". Inside the fusion, the issue seems to be that all the MediaIn objects are reporting broken links (I can not view them in the viewer) even though as I say, the media clips came over.

The fusion clips do not appear to be updating all the new project's source media/database info when the clip is copied.

I then went into Fusion page, and in the media pool selected the bin that contains the clips of interest. I chose "relink clips for selected bin..." and navigated to the correct folder tree. DR analyzed the folder and did not report any missing clips (yay!)... BUT only some of the mediaIn updated so I can "see" them. Others remain not updated and unavailable. Is there another way to tell a mediaIn node how to find its source clip when it is lost?

I should add: the MediaIn nodes only turn red (bad status) after I click on them to select them. Before that, they "look" fine in the node tree.

Also, dragging from any of the copied media pool clips (which show the correct image and have the correct filename in their properties) to the Fusion composition yields... a blank rectangle that disappears when I click anywhere again.

When I add a new bin and import the clips again (I used the cut page "import folder" feature)... then I can drag those "new" identical looking objects from the media pool to the Fusion composition.
