I built a from-scratch Fusion composition (a 3D assembly). In Fusion, I could click the timeline around and see the views I expected. I saved, went to Deliver page (the one clip is the only thing on the timeline), and tried to render to mp4/H.264. It claimed to have rendered, but about 2 seconds into the clip (which involves a pan of the camera across the scene), the image went black.
On later attempts to render with a subset of the timeline, I either got the same black, or a crash of DR.
In digging around the fusion composition, I noticed that AFTER I left the fusion page a node was recolored to red when I returned to the page. It was a Transform3D node that I had disconnected (a few nodes upstream) the media, in order to not have that branch display (I know, I could have done control-P to disable, but it worked fine in Fusion to just disconnect the node). When I deleted that branch of nodes, the Deliver page rendered fine.
The point at which the screen went black (or DR crashed) during Deliver rendering was when the transform3D node's position came into view in the camera3D.
I think it might be relevant that the transform3D was NOT red during my initial build and checking of the timeline in Fusion. It was only red after I left and returned.
