Beta 17.5 crash report

Beta version 5 for studio 17 crashes every time I open a session. Takes forever to load video. Playback will work for a moment then crash or not at all and crash.
System specs in signature.
System Information
Resolve Studio 18
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 18363)
System Model: X570 AORUS ULTRA
Nvidia RTX 3090
Memory: 65484MB RAM

also trying to open the same session over and over to see if it works has now crashed my amd gpu and submitted the bug report to them as well. now every time I open resolve the graphics card driver crashes. no matter what I do. beta 5 or beta 4. I am going to attempt to go back to version 16. but my current session is studio 17 session file and I am told that it wont work opening that in version 16.

Same Issue here mate. I am on Linux with a RX 570. From Beta 1-5 nothing has worked. will try rolling back GPU drivers

Ive moved to the most recent beta. 17b6

I will explain more of what I have found. Fusion works, surprisingly, I get audio and video inside of fusion. I can use fusion for as long as I want (at this point, only tested up to 30m)
However, the issue comes in with using any page other than Fusion. This makes me think is a resolve issue, and not something the fusion port has problems with. But, I have no idea how it is coded so I cant be sure on this.

To explain what happens in detail. Even if I create something in fusion, the second anything (anything and everything visual, no idea if this is audio yet and using the mute button doesnt help) is used, The program crashes. It may load for.. 2-5 seconds, But I am yet to see a single thing inside resolve 17s viewers. This has been true for resolve 17b1 all the way through to resolve 17b6


I am on Ubuntu which I know isnt supported, But my system has been more stable than almost anyone else I know who uses Resolve. And it appears this isnt restricted to Ubuntu, but the AMD cards. Just judging by other crash reports I have seen.
RAM is 16GB (will get 32gb in a month or so)
Ryzen 5 2600
and a AMD Sapphire RX 570 ITX Mini 8GB (has worked great for 15 and 16.2.2| ive never used 16.2.7)
On note of drivers, I have tested 3 drivers. 1 old one I had with 16.2.2 and the two updates between then and now. Always have the same issue. I hope this helps, I would love to use resolve 17
