Resolve constantly accessing Hard Drive - APPLE M1
--- Proxy generation turned off ---
After bringing in the media to the media pool ( SONY FS7 - XAVC UHD ) the hard drive is constantly accessed for a good 20-30 minutes. On my intel MacPro ( 5,1 , 12 Core, GTX1080 - Resolve 16 ) it takes about 30 seconds of "scanning" to complete the process. ( I assume this is generating the clip images in the timeline or audio waveforms )
I have never had to manually disable this ( proxy? ) generation process before. Its moving almost 130MB a second from the drive, so its scanning all the video files for whatever its looking at.
Am I missing something? I have gone through everyplace I can in Resolve to make sure it is not generating Proxies.
Also - The audio cuts in and out, and is out of sync.
Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.
PS - Yes, I know its a beta and might be fixed in the next version. I have a Apple M1 MacBook Pro 16GB RAM, but I think I'll download the intel version and see if it acts the same.
