Studio 17 Beta: "Transform Resize" quality problem (pixels)
Hi,
Since Studio 17 Beta I noticed a “Transform/Resize” quality problem in the Edit tab. (And delivery.)
Provided there are two video tracks:
—V1— One with a background image (fusion composition)
—V2— One with a video with a green screen (fusion composition to only have the desired subject).
Provided I do the following transform:
—V1— Zoom at 0.5 and Position at -100 + 100
—V2— Zoom at 0.5 and Position at -100 + 100
The result in Resolve 16:
—The result is very smooth, and nothing to notice.
The result in Resolve 17 Beta (up to Beta 5):
—We can see pixelation in some areas of subject of V2 (green screen).
The temporary solution in Resolve 17 Beta to avoid this problem (and have the same quality as in 16):
—Create a composite shot with V1 and V2, in full size (Zoom at 1.).
—The resize the composite shot (Zoom 0.5, position -100 + 100).
—Then, there is no pixelation and the “merge” between the BG and FG is very smooth, just as in Resolve 16.
Thank you and kind regards!
