How can I swap tracks without losing audio sync?

Hi. This is my first multicam edit and I could not use the multicam feature due to 2 audio tracks.
There are 2 video tracks, each with 10 clips.
I just discovered my mistake. The clips I want to use as mostly overlay are in track 1 while the main footage is in track 2. I need to move all track 1 clips to track 2 and visa-versa.
The big problem is that the 2 audio tracks have overlapping vocals. That was due to a hardware failure that day. So the 2 audio tracks (for each 2 clip set) have to be synched to the frame.
I have Audio 1, 2, Clip 1 and 2 "linked" for each of the 10 segments. But this prevents rearranging.
Is there a way to rearrange clips (vertically to different tracks) while preserving the exact horizontal position on the timeline?

Easier than you think. If one of your tracks doesn't start at 0:00, add a marker at the start of it. That will enable snap. Then drag track 2 to track 3, snapping to the marker. Move Track 1 to 2 and then 3 to 1 (snapping).
Your audio won't necessarily re-sync though. It might be off by a frame or two but all clips will be the off by the same amount. Just select the track that didn't start at 0 and then nudge left/right until synched (synced?)
Good luck!

Multicam is the wrong approach if you're wanting to see both clips at the same time at any point in the timeline. (As suggested by your 'overlay' comment.)
Multicam is for switching between cameras, one at a time.

Hold shift as you drag tracks up and down to constrain them from slipping left and right (out of time).
Disabling "linked move across tracks" in the timeline menu will let you move them when a collision would otherwise occur. Usually, with the default targeting, where all of the auto-select buttons are lit, and no tracks are locked, when you try a linked move, a collision will overwrite the destination track. But if you've locked one of the destinations, a linked move will refuse to budge vertically.

Wow all tremendously helpful! Thanks
