SOS... CDNG colorspace transform problems saving
I use CDNG with my Sigma FP and found a great way to get the most dynamic range out of the 12 bit raw CDNGs. Its fairly straight forward, I followed a great tutorial by another sigma FP user Timur Civan you can see how he explains it, if you want more info here https://vimeo.com/user549059 . It blew my mind how much more information in the higher end of the image I got when set up the workflow this way.. in a nutshell its setting the CDNG raw to colorspace P3 d60 and gamma to Linear, then using colorspace transform tool converting it to ARRI log. the results were really great and completely changed the way I felt about my Sigma FP.
PROBLEM: everything looks great until I save the project and re-open it. Literally nothing is changed whatsoever, just saved, project closed and then reopened at a later time. It goes from perfectly smooth highlights to blown, washed out top end footage. Ive tried everything. Ive posted 2 screen grabs- first one the way it supposed to look after the workflow is applied and one simply saved and reopened.
this is a screen grab of the color page after I save and reopen.. notice the curve adjustment sudden clip- weird.
I have tried this on resolve studio 16- 16.2 - 16.3 - and 17 beta 5 all with exact same results as well as on 2 completely different machines.
Anyone that could help shed some light on what may be going please help, thank you in advance.
