can mini/micro panel be mapped for global offset control?

PostSat Dec 19, 2020 12:30 pm

Lately i'm often grading in the aces colorspace and i noticed i'm using the global offset alot for exposure adjustments as i really like the natural feel of it (also with the new 17 hdr controls). I was just wondering, if i decide to buy a color hardware panel such as the micro/mini blackmagic panel, will it be possible to use it for the global offset exposure as well? (both in the "normal" and hdr controls)

as i'm only seeing 3 wheels, i assume they are only meant for lift gamma gain by default.

You can access that wheel on the panels. There's a toggle.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

The Offset button changes the wheels/knobs to Temp, Tint, and Offset. Temp and Tint work on the levels rings and don’t have the RGB knob do anything, but the Offset levels ring and RGB knob are as you’d expect, whether you’ve toggled from Primary wheels or Log wheels.
