I read this about beta 5:
"Pre-Installation Note:
For those using DaVinci Resolve or DaVinci Resolve Studio on Windows, we strongly recommend uninstalling previous versions prior to installing 17 Public Beta 5 and higher versions. Going forward, all Fairlight, grading and editor keyboard firmware updates will be managed from the DaVinci Control Panels Setup utility."
Clear enough, and I have confirmation that uninstalling and reinstalling can be done with the "download only" option and it will remember my activation from before.
But when I started Resolve yesterday it popped up the usual message about "new version" and asked if I would install. This seemed easier than manually removing and installing. My question, will this option work fine and take care of the proper advised removal of the older version? I assume it will since it offered to to it this way? Just would like to be sure.
