still missing is the ability to select an arbitrary amount of clips in the media page and change timecode all at one.

I'm assuming you also meant the ability to offset of multiple clips as well.

Absolute T/C change as well as ability to Offset. Specifically when dealing with Multicam without TOD t/c or jam sync'd on set.

yep. lots of Editorial and finishing features are needed.

This was posted by Igor Ridanovic somewhere else

https://github.com/IgorRidanovic/ChangeClipTimecode

You can change starting timecode of all clips in the current bin with this script:

This script will work as-is in V15 and V16. They have changed data type returns for some methods in V17 which subsequently broke this and many other scripts. For V17 you'd have delete the square brackets and everything inside them in lines 43&44.

It can be as simple as copying and pasting it to a console window in some cases. It's not the best way to do it though.

probably, one common issue I have is VFX that have an arbitrary timecode that does not match editorial (they reset timecode to 01:00:00:00) and i nee to select all of them and force it manually: if you have 200 clips is tedious...

ugh. yep. been there. These are the kind of editorial features that Avid has, which are the reason why they are still the standard in high end editorial and post workflows. Its just not a sexy feature that demos well like "face recognition". lol
