Can 17 and 17.1 work on the same DB and project?

PostSun Dec 20, 2020 1:52 pm

I been using Resolve 16.2 on my main windows PC. I recently got an M1 Mac mini and am running 17.1 beta on that and ALSO my 2019 macbook pro. and i absolutely love 17.1. So i want to update my windows pc to 17 beta as well so i can work on the same projects on all three of my computers which i have done when my pc and mac were running the same 16.x versions.
The issue is that the latest PC beta version is 17... not 17.1 like the M1 mac. so if i work on a project in 17.1 on my Mac Mini, and then try to open it on my pc running 17.0, will i be hit with the "this project was created by a newer version of davinci resolve"?

17 and 17.1 are the same version. The latter simply has the code to work on M1.

That said, my choice would be to run a test.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
