Davinci Resolve 16 Adding titles

Hi,
I am a complete beginner currently finding my way around Davinci Resolve 16. I am trying to add a title to a clip. My issue is that when I click and drag the selected title onto my timeline, it then causes interference to my video and linked audio for the exact length of time that the title remains.
Can anyone suggest a solution please?
Thank you

Yes, I get this occasionally. It's due to the computer resources not being quite beefy enough. I only see this with high frame rate (50fps) h264 footage in a UHD timeline. You can select half resolution Proxy in the Playback dropdown menu and de-select Show All Video Frames if you have that selected. I,ve never had a problem with the final render.

Thank you so much - I've tried the changes you mention and the problem seems to have been fixed.
I am very much learning by trial and error - once I've built up some working knowledge I am sure a course of some description will greatly benefit me.
Thanks once again for your tips
Regards
Chris

Oh man, that's the hard way.

Go through the Beginner's Guide at the very least. It's a great help for learning Resolve. ;)

Re: Davinci Resolve 16 Adding Animated Fusion Titles

Hi, this issue seems to still be with me.

When I try to add an Animated Fusion Title above/over a video clip it causes interference with the main video clip - the linked audio to that video clip is unaffected and plays OK.

Thinking that it might be an issue with just my Playback Monitor I have tried Rendering the whole piece but the file will not play and appears to be contaminated.

If I then go back to the timeline, remove the Animated Fusion Tile, the main video plays fine and the whole piece Renders satisfactorily....so there is obviously an issue caused with the use of Animated Fusion Titles but I cannot see how to resolve this

Any help greatly appreciated.
