Resolve 17 Installation Failure
Posted: Mon Dec 21, 2020 7:55 amHello, I just downloaded Resolve 17 and installed it over my previous version 16.2 with dismal results.
I have a Windows 10 Laptop 64-bit OS, I7 quad core @2.5GHz, with 16GB RAM, and 1TB HDD.
When attempting to start the program it seems to begin, the icon shows up in the task bar, but then just disappears. I restarted the machine and tried again, same result. I uninstalled the program and all DaVinci and Blackmagic apps, then reinstalled without administrator. But the same thing happens.
I'm now going to try downloading and installing 16.2.8 and see if that works better. If not, I'll try my old 16.2 and hope it works.
Any advice much appreciated.
