Shift+Z zoom in Fairlight

PostMon Dec 21, 2020 9:10 pm

I'm using 17.0b4 (BUILD 15) and while on the Fiarlight page I can't zoom in to one area of the timeline, Shift+Z to zoom out, reposition the playhead and Shift+Z to zoom to the new position - it zooms to the old position. This is with Zoom to mouse pointer on or off. Edit page works fine.

That has been the implementation since version 14.
The Fairlight behaviour is different to the Edit page.

Oh, I did wonder if it had always been like that. Thanks for confirming.

On another note, vertical sizing with Shift+scroll doesn't focus on the mouse when Zoom to pointer is enabled.

Yes, but why? Does it make any sense? There have been several threads regarding this behaviour, but I never saw an explanation why this makes sense to someone.

I consider it bad programming.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.
