BUG: 17B Pasting clips ignores Tracks and Auto Selectors

When pasting from one timeline to another:

The track and Auto Selectors act inconsistently. Sometimes ignoring the track or "Auto" Selector of the chosen destination. Sometimes pasting more than the Auto Selectors that are enabled.
It should adhere to whatever Track or Auto Selectors are enabled or disabled. One can accidentally overwrite clips on larger stacked timelines.

Track and "Auto" Selectors are very frustrating already, but this inconsistency might be a bug.

You're saying it's pasting to tracks with Auto Track Selector turned off?

auto track selection ? when did that show up. basically I've been adviocating for a single track target indicator so there is no guessing whats going to happen. if none are selected then use the tracks from the original clips unless those spots have clips in them, then paste up to next avail open track, then let user adjust if needed but don't overwrite anything in the TL already there - non-destructive paste.

@Jim - Yes, pasting was inconsistent on each attempt. Disregarding the "Auto selectors."

@Steve Oh man, you are telling me. I HATE the AutoSelector Track selector system in Resolve. It's fine for doing color on picture locked timelines, but not as we try and do more editorial in Resolve. Even after using Resolve for close to ten years...I DON"T GET IT! Our editors don't like it either, I'd prefer Source Tracks on Left, Record/Program tracks on Right. Like Avid, Premiere etc. Having control.

One of the worst gotchas is the source clip ALWAYS Activates the source clips Audio track each time it is loaded into the source monitor. On larger timelines, I accidentally don't see that Audio is active and cut in. Overwriting on tracks below that are hidden. To later find out the timeline got overwritten.

Too many variables, too many inconsistencies.

It could be a bug if Auto Track Selector is being ignored.

That's pretty much what we have here, with Destination Controls and Auto Track Selector.

They look different, but they work the same.
