Exporting stereoscopic footage for Oculus Go

PostTue Dec 22, 2020 1:13 am

I am working with stereoscopic footage captured with Vuze+ camera. Left and right are already present in one .mp4 file. Once I have edited them I am wondering how to export these files from DaVinci Resolve as stereoscopic footage for viewing in an for Oculus Go headset?

Don't get a lot of 3D questions. You might be the pioneer helping others on this one.
My Biases:

You NEED training.
You NEED a desktop.
You NEED a calibrated (non-computer) display.

if you already have the footage in one mp4, i usually export a 6k output, select custom resolution, and put 5760x2880 , h265, 100 000kbps or more(for what i export to) and always at the end of the filename put the "180x180_3dh_LR" in the filename for the oculus to know that the file is a vr180 with the video left and right (not top/bottom)

in your case it might be a different resolution since you are working with a 360 vr not a 180 as in my case, and also the suffis mght need to change ( -360x360_3dh_LR or -360x360_3dh_TB ??)
