Can you treat an image sequence with alpha two ways?

I think there should be a way, but, I haven't quite figured it out....

Can you work with an image sequence with an alpha channel both as if it has an alpha channel and as if it doesn't?

I have a targa 32 bit sequence with an alpha. In the clip attributes panel in the media page I can specify whether the alpha for that sequence is used or it isn't but it applies to all instances on the timeline. I need to use it in both it's forms, with and without alpha, on the same timeline. How would one do this?

I'm not at my machine right now, but I'd try to dine subclips, edit them into the timeline, and try changing their attributes there.

it seems the clip attributes are greyed out for the subclip.

You don't need to duplicate the image sequences.
Import a second time into a different bin in Resolve and you can use one clip with alpha enabled and the other without. They will be treated as two distinct clips.

ah, different bin, good idea. I had tried it in the same bin which was a no go.
