Multiple GPU in same system

Hi Guys

So with V16, I recently noticed that when checking the GPU settings, it says my primary GPU (2070 super) is for UI and my secondary GPU (1080Ti) is setup for CUDA

I'm assuming this will be the same in V17

So my question is, is it only using my seconadry card for GPU calculations, and my primary card is literally only for UI? That seems a bit of a waste. Can't both be used for calculations and UI?

Yes, with the Studio version. But you may need to experiment with those settings, two quite different GPUs might make the software even slower.

So then if I only have the free version, would it make sense to swop my GPU slots around in the case, so that my 1080ti is used for UI and the 2070 Super is used for processing?

No need to swap them (if the slots are of the same speed), just change their use in the prefs.
BTW, with modern GPUs, it doesn't make much of a difference if you use one for GUI and computing.

My choice would be to pull the 1080 and sell it.
