Speed Editor - USB3 preferable to USB2 ?

PostTue Dec 22, 2020 2:22 pm

I'm waiting for my speed editor to arrive later today. I've set my computer up ready with the studio version and I'm wondering if I will lose any performance using USB2 rather than USB3 as I would imagine only small amounts of data are being shifted. I have only two USB3 ports (through an extension card) but several USB2 ports. Thanks for any guidance.

If memory serves, Grant said it's backwards compatible with USB 2.0.

Thanks Jim for your reply. Having just received the editor I can now confirm it works well with USB2. My question really was whether there would be any gain in running it through USB3 ports. My 2 USB3 ports are currently taken up with hard drives.

Run a test. Then you'll know. ;)
