I am using M4A audio files that I recorded separately from my video clips. However, the audio from the clips start to play for a second or two, then cut out, not even showing audio on the Mixer Levels. However, when I click and drag the audio clip over a few frames, it starts to play, then cuts out again. However, the audio that from my video clips don't have a problem at all.
However, it will then randomly start playing no problem, but then if I split the clip, it'll do the same thing until I drag it away from the split part. But then, the audio may or may not go out again.
I have no clue what the problem is. I've already updated Davinci Resolve to 16.2.8., it happens both with my laptop speakers and my headphones, the audio files work completely fine when I play them outside of Davinici, and it's not as if my laptop is trying to render too much at once, since it even happens when trying to edit at the very end of my film that doesn't have any video or audio clips. Also, the audio clips are perfectly fine when I export them, but it's next to impossible for me to edit.
I'm using a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming laptop, that has an Intel Core 15-7300HQ CPU @2.50GHz, 2501 Mhz, and 4 Cores. I don't know much about computers, so maybe it's just that my device sucks. And I'm extremely annoyed since I'm trying to finish my 25 min short film that HAS to be finished by New Year's Eve.
