Sometimes Resolve quits listening to my BT kbd

PostWed Dec 23, 2020 2:52 am

Hi,

Possible bug report: DR 17.0B Build 18 (and previous few)
I have a Bluetooth keyboard and it works fine with Resolve 17 beta, most of the time. Once in a while I will be happily working on something WITH THE SPEED EDITOR (very nice by the way) and when I go to change a zoom or something Resolve will not hear or maybe not respond to my keystrokes. I can't type in the Inspector, I can't type in the marker text boxes, I can't type in Project Notes. Nothing happens. To get it going again I have to restart Resolve.

Other Windows 10 apps hear the keyboard just fine, so I have not tried unplugging the Bluetooth dongle yet, but I don't expect that to help.

The rest of Resolve is working still. I can mouse or use the Speed Editor just fine. I have not tried any kbd shortcuts that I remember, like Ctrl-I to get a new clip, but I will do that.

Cheer,

Carey

Hello, perhaps related to the same issue I was having just now? Resolve 17 beta 6 (first version of 17 that I've used) makes my bluetooth mouse, a logitech MX Anywhere 2S, dropout for around half a second every once in a while. Say every 10 seconds if I'm really active with the mouse. It doesn't happen unless I do something that actually causes a redraw, like hovering over a button, dragging an object etc. The same issue does not occur when using the trackpad. I'm on a Surface Book 2, no problem like this with Resolve 16.

It seems to be fixable for me by cycling bluetooth off and back on again with resolve running, but it comes back after restarting the app.

Will check out the error reporting and create a separate post if admin thinks that's more suitable.

Best regards
Alexander
